This is a great side for a light main. I’m not going to lie, I would definitely consider this ‘comfort food’. We can all splurge once in a while though, right?
- 4 C. chopped cabbage
- 3 Tbsp. Bacon Bourbon Jam, (optional)
- 6 strips bacon, cooked and chopped, grease reserved
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 onion, minced
- 1/2 C. shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 C. sour cream
- 1.5 tsp paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350Â°
Mix the sour cream and cheese in a bowl, set aside.
Add onionÂ to hot bacon grease and cook until softened. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Add cabbage and cook about 7 minutes. Add jam and bacon, cook an additional 7 minutes. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
Line a baking dish with foil and spray with cooking spray (for easier clean up).
Pour cabbage mixture into dish. Top withÂ sour creamÂ and cheese mix. Â Bake 10 minutes and chop with parsley if desired.
