Looking for a twist on a classic? Look no further. These are fun, easy, and delicious! They can be served as an appetizer or for breakfast.
- 7 breakfast sausage links
- 4 ready made biscuit dough (or make your own)
- maple syrup (to taste)
- country gravy mix
Cook sausage as you would normally, drain on paper towels and cut in half, making 14 pieces.
Take one round of dough and on a floured surface, roll out to 1/8″ thick (roughly). Slice into thirds.
Place one piece of sausage on the end of one of the thirds of dough, drizzle with maple syrup, and roll up like a pig in a blanket. Pinch the seams and edges together so sausage is sealed inside. Repeat until all sausage is used up.
Bake until golden brown, about 13-14 minutes (you’ll want to check periodically around the 10 minute mark).
Prepare gravy according to directions.
Serve hot with gravy as a dipping sauce.
